Boteco Belmonte

Had two meals here during our brief stop over travelling South America. The beef and chicken skewers were excellent and very good value for money. Truly amazing street dancing by the local boys while eating on our second night. Olympic standard tumbling on rock hard concrete and tarmac.

Quick stop for a cerveja and empada aberta de camarao!! Amazing and creamy. Attentive and friendly staff offering snacks. Nice ambiente.

Busy and noisy place, at least in the early evening. I didn’t like the food to much. I had a salad with mango and rocket salad, with tasted ok. Then I made the mistake, that I ordered a pizza Margherita with additional onions. This thing was a disaster and had nothing to do with pizza concerning the taste. It was just any kind of dough baked with any kind of cheese. It was much too expensive for what I got in here! I won’t return!

Lovely food and atmosphere. Lucus was very good and helpful made the whole experience fabulous. He remembered everything we had from the day before.

The food was great. Especially the Moqueca!!
