Pet microchip: permanent and safe identification

A microchip is a device the size of a grain of rice implanted under the animal's skin, usually in the area between the shoulder blades. It contains a unique code that can be read by scanners at veterinary clinics and shelters.

How it works

The chip uses passive RFID technology — it has no battery and lasts the entire life of the animal. When a scanner is brought close, the chip transmits its identification number, which is linked to the owner's information in a database.

Proven effectiveness

Studies show that microchipped dogs are significantly more likely to be reunited with their owners when lost, compared to animals without identification. For cats, the return rate is even more impressive.

The procedure

Implantation is quick, similar to an injection, and does not require anesthesia. It can be done in puppies from 8 weeks of age. The discomfort is minimal and momentary.

Keep your information up to date

The microchip is only useful if the registered information is correct. When you change your address or phone number, immediately update the record in the manufacturer's database.
